Type: Black Granite monument with plaza and flagpoles

Description: A large black granite monument lists names of those who served. In addition, one side is inscribed: "In Honor Of Those Who Served Our Country". The other side has the inscription: "Freedom's Flag ~ It Is The Soldier, Not The Reporter, ~ Who Has Given Us Freedom Of The Press. ~ It Is The Soldier, Not The Poet, ~ Who Has Given Us Freedom Of Speech. ~ It Is The Soldier, Not The Campus Organizer, ~ Who Has Given Us The Freedom To Demonstrate. ~ It Is The Soldier, Not The Lawyer, ~ Who Has Given Us The Right To A Fair Trial. ~ It Is The Soldier, ~ Who Salutes The Flag, ~ Who Serves Under The Flag, ~ And Whose Coffin Is Draped In The Flag, ~ Who Allows The Protester To Burn The Flag. ~ Charles Michael Province ~ U.S. Army" and "All Gave Some, Some Gave All".

A small brick monument with a granite inset identifies this as "Western Kansas ~ Veterans Memorial ~ And Directory ~ Dedicated ~ November 11, 2003".
