Description:
The Greeley County Historical Society commemorated this with a granite marker that is engraved:
"John K, Rodgers - died January 1886 ~ Lincoln Rodgers - died January 1886 ~ Lost their lives in the blizzard of January 1886 while return ~ ing to their homestead. They were the first to be buried in ~ what was then known as the Rodgers Brothers cemetery. ~ Their faithful collie, buried beside them, had gone to the ~nearest town and led some men to their bodies.
The land they are buried on is part of the land they were homesteading. This 3 acres was deeded by their father, John ~ Rodgers, to the Army Post No. 475 G.A.R. on January 6, 1891 ~ donated by Greeley County Historical Society 1991"
The cemetery is overgrown but, in addition to the commemoration marker, there are still a number of government issue headstones for veterans of the PA Cavalry and Ill Infantry.

City Cemetery (south of town)
Type: Brick Monument and Honor Roll
Description:
A brick monument is emplaced next to a flagpole and a small wooden pavilion. The monument is inscribed: "In Memory ~ Of Those Who Gave ~ Their Lives ~ For Their Country" and "American Legion ~ Earl R. Lowder Post ~ No. 311".
A plaque in the ground in front of the monument reads: "Unknown Soldier".
The pavilion contains a listing: "In Memory Of Those Who Served ~ Their Country For Our Freedom" and names from the Civil War (10 names), WW I, WW II, and Vietnam.

Veterans Memorial (north of town)
Type: Black Granite Monument and Benches
Description:
A granite monument is emplaced on a plaza next to a flagpole and several benches. The front of the monument is inscribed: "Dedicated to all ~ the men and women ~ who have honorably ~ served our country". The reverse includes: "To those who died, honor and rest; ~ to those still in bondage, remembrance ~ and hope; and to those who returned, ~ gratitude and peace." "This memorial is dedicated in honor ~ of the valiant men and women of ~ Greeley County, Kansas, who ~ rendered unyielding service ~ to the cause of liberty in ~ declared and undeclared ~ wars to keep the United ~ States of America a free ~ and great nation".
The benches carry the inscription: "VFW Post 7521 American Legion 311".
